Some of you may be familiar with this term, and others may have never even heard of it - so let’s find out a little more 🕵️‍♀️

A Credentialled Diabetes Educator or a CDE is a specialist in diabetes 🤓 They are health professionals such as Nurses, Pharmacists or Dietitians, who have completed further study to guide and assist people living with diabetes.

Here at The Wellness Pattern we’re lucky enough to offer the services of a Credentialled Diabetes Educator who’s main aim is to empower our patients with the knowledge, motivation & support to manage living with type 2 diabetes. ✨

When should you see a CDE? 🤨
It’s quite common to be referred to a CDE once diagnosed with diabetes, as they can clearly explain what diabetes is and provide you with individualised advice & care 🤍 They can also help organise routine tests and screenings for diabetes complications.💉💊

Who should see a CDE?🧐
* If you are living with Type 1 Diabetes
* If you are living with Type 2 Diabetes
* Have been diagnosed with Pre-Diabetes
